Thanks Vivien. I am having a brain-dead day so I don't know what else to say. But I appreciate you taking the time to comment and of course I am all about community... and myself... and my ego.

what a serious post on a non-serious day ;-)
on a more serious note - nicely done, shining that table for us ;-)

on a not so serious note - as bloggers we're seeking not so much for an attention, but more for an approval - encouragement and approval that something in what we know, what we do, does matter to others. That approval and encouragement is what keeps us going, well, many of us. For others the value is in the money like Kev mentioned above. The community aspect of blogging is huge indeed. It's like opening a door to an entirely different world where we get to experience something new with people we would've never met otherwise.

Thanks Kev. I agree. I have a lot of ideas about blogging and I feel a certain passion to share them.

I took a gander and it is great to hear your honesty on why you blog. Bloggers blog because they care, nothing more. Like you say, it isn't some kind of ego trip or seeking of fame and fortune (we leave that to the "make money from your blog" bloggers whose rhetorical and dim witted minds are easily spotted a mile off and we run away from them to the hills in less than no time). We care about a certain subject, or where we live or making friends. Nice work Rhett.
