If you have not logged into you WordPress blog yet today you might not know that WordPress has issued an urgent security release to fix a flaw in the XML-RPC implementation that could allow any valid user to create a request that would allow them to edit the posts of any other user on the blog. You should upgrade your blog as soon as possible to prevent any possible problems.
You can download the entire release to upgrade your WordPress blog or you can download just the fixed version of xmlrpc.php and replace the version on your blog. You can read more about the release on the WordPress blog. They are also recommending any users of the wp-forum plugin to remove it due to a security flaw that is being exploited until it is fixed.
A reminder, before you update your WordPress site to make a backup and of course don’t forget to use some basic security to keep your blog safe.
